''I think you are all great for getting together for support and shared ventures. In my opinion one of the biggest problems in Britain for artists is how isolated they often are and as a result they are a powerless group. The world of the future will definitley be about working together whether it is to save the planet or promote art and artists. Of course these matters are linked and a 'political' dimension to art is also something that we in Britain could develop more. Have courage and faith, and expect nothing from the Arts Council. What success you acheive as individuals or a group will have been won by you alone and thus your own destiny is in your hands, not the hands of others.''
